Inspiration
Kelly’s father was an artist and she was inspired by his work. She always had an inner desire to express herself through her favorite medium, watercolor. Her paintings reflect her passion for gardening and flowers. Kelly spends hours in her garden, observing, photographing, and planning her heartfelt creations. These favorite garden spaces and flowers are represented in her paintings. She likes to think of her gardens as palette #1 . Her yard has multiple garden spaces which are inspiration for many of her paintings. This annual art cycle begins each spring. Kelly works in her garden designing landscapes that will contain loads of color throughout the season. Each part of the garden season offers unique treasures which she captures in her works, palette #2. During the winter months, Kelly continues to paint from photographs, always thinking about plans for the upcoming season.
